What scholarships are available?
The Foundation has several different scholarships available each semester. The scholarships have different criteria which range from gender to program of study.
Current scholarships offered by the WCC Foundation are as follows:
Established through gifts to the Foundation from family and friends, this scholarship will provide assistance to a basic or paramedic level EMS student. The $1,000 scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition and fees for fall semester and will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success. The recipient must be actively involved in rescue-related work or volunteerism.
This scholarship was established in 2016. The scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a student enrolled in a general academics, health sciences, or career technical program. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Because of You, She Can Scholarship was established in 2024. This scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a student in either a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or a Cosmetology/Esthetics program of study. This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Matthew Brown Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 by Eric Moore and friends of Matthew Brown. A scholarship will be awarded and pay up to $600 for tuition and fees for a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace campus student, majoring in General Studies or Psychology program. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The Joseph Glenn Caffee Memorial Scholarship was established in May 2008, in memory of beloved radiologic technology instructor Joey Caffee who taught at Wallace Community College for 18 years. This scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a second-year radiologic technology student. Special qualifications may apply. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship will pay up to $1,250 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a new or returning student enrolled in one of the career/technical programs on the Wallace campus. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. This scholarship is renewable for the length of the program.
This scholarship was established by the Wallace Community College Foundation in 2009 to honor Charles E. Coggins, who chaired the Foundation for three years and whose leadership was instrumental in the success of the Foundation’s first major gifts campaign, the Campaign for Excellence. This scholarship will pay up to $1,100 for fall semester and will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success. The scholarship is open to a student in any curriculum who demonstrates high ethical standards, responsible citizenship, leadership, and service to the community. Preference will be given to students from Houston County.
This scholarship was established in 2017. Two scholarships will pay up to $1,000 for tuition, fees, and/or books for new or existing Wallace Community College (WCC) students on the Wallace Campus majoring in general academics, health sciences, or career technical programs. The scholarships will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
Established in 2003 by the Commercial Bank of Ozark, this scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition and fees to a new or returning student from Dale County. The scholarship will be based on academic merit and financial need. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The Myrna Johns Cotton Endowed Scholarship was established in 2022 to provide students an opportunity to continue their education. This scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a Wallace Community College Wallace Campus student majoring in Social Work, A.A. or A.S., Cosmetology, A.A.S., or Elementary or Early Childhood Education, A.A. or A.S. programs(s) (in order of preference). This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
Randy Crawford was a student at WCC in the early eighties. He was from Jackson County, Florida, and played basketball for the College. Family and friends established this scholarship in 1986 in his memory. The scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books, and will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success, to a currently enrolled WCC student from Jackson County, Florida, who demonstrates financial need and has a history of successful academic work. In the absence of qualified applicants from Jackson County, Florida, the committee will first consider applicants from other counties in Florida, and then from any location.
Susan Jernegan Deal was a nursing student at WCC in the late 1970s. Her family and friends established this scholarship in 1980 as a memorial to her. The scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a student in the EMS program. Other allied health programs may be considered. Recipient may be either a new or currently enrolled student, and show evidence of financial need. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The Helen Dennis Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in July 2016 by Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Services in memory of Helen Dennis. Helen began as a secretary who eventually became the administrator of Extendicare. She passed away in 1989. She was adored by everyone and was passionate about caring for the elderly. This scholarship will provide candidates an opportunity to become graduates in the nursing profession and help advance healthcare in the Wiregrass. The scholarship will pay 75% of tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student in the Practical Nursing or Associate Degree Nursing program, with a preference given to an employee of Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Services in good standing, with required letters of recommendation, and working a minimum average of 24 hours a week. The scholarship will be awarded based on grade point average and unmet financial need. This scholarship is renewable for the length of the program upon demonstration of academic success.
Mrs. Dinkins, a biology instructor, was associated with WCC from 1978 until her death in 1998. The Barbara B. Dinkins Memorial Scholarship was established by her family as a memorial to her contributions to the field of education. The scholarship will provide an award of up to $750 for tuition and fees for a student in a field that requires significant preparation in the life sciences–nursing, allied health, pre-med, etc. Preference will be given to a student who has completed at least 15 credit hours of college-level coursework with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Preference will be given to a student from Houston County. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship was established in 2014 by Mark and Angela Dunning. The scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a nursing or allied health program. A full scholarship covering tuition, fees, and/or books will be awarded in the fall and renewable for spring and summer semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2022. The scholarship will pay up to $1,500 toward tuition, fees, and/or books for a student on the Wallace Campus majoring in a Health Science program. This scholarship is only awarded for the summer semester and non-renewable.
The Roy and Eve Fabbrini Scholarship was established in 2020. A scholarship will be awarded and pay up to $1,000 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace campus student enrolled in an Academic Transfer, Health Science, or Career Technical program. This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2022 by Brittanie’s family members. The scholarship will pay up to $500 toward tuition, fees, and/or books for a student on the Wallace Campus majoring in an academic transfer program with a preference given to a single parent pursuing an education major. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2017 by Five Star Credit Union. Four scholarships will pay up to $1,250 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a student on the Wallace Campus majoring in academic transfer, health sciences, or a career technical program. The scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship is given by the Wallace Community College Foundation Board to support the Get the Tassel initiative. One scholarship of up to $500 will be awarded for tuition, fees, and/or books to a student who is completing the last semester of their program of study. Recipient must complete the graduation application in Admissions and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship was established by the Wallace Community College Foundation in 2006 to honor the co-chairs of the Campaign for Excellence, the first major gifts campaign in the history of the College. The co-chairs, L. Keith Granger, former CEO of Flowers Hospital, and Hugh W. Wheelless, Jr., former CEO of Wheelless Development Ltd., are successful businessmen who believe in giving back to their community. This scholarship will pay up to $1,100 for tuition, fees, and/or books for one semester, and will be renewable for one semester upon demonstration of academic success. The scholarship is open to a student in any curriculum who demonstrates high ethical standards, responsible citizenship, volunteerism, and academic success. Preference will be given to students from Houston County.
The Russell “Rusty” Griffin Scholarship was established by Matt, Anne, Maria and Chase Parker in honor of a great coach, mentor, and former educator that impacted many lives in the Dothan, Alabama community and helped prepare students for life and pursuing professional careers through his dedication and service. This scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a Wallace Community College (WCC) student majoring in a career technical program. The scholarship will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2017 by Harris Security Systems Inc. The scholarship will pay up to $876 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a student on the Wallace Campus majoring in an academic transfer, allied health, or career technical program, with preference given to a dependent of a full-time or retired full-time first responder. The first responder may be a police officer, emergency medical technician, firefighter or E-911 operator. Parent must be employed in their profession for a minimum of two consecutive years. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and reside in Barbour, Butler, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Houston, Geneva, Coffee, Pike or Henry County. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2019 by the Heersink Family Foundation. A scholarship will be awarded and pay up to $1,140 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a student majoring in an allied health or a nursing program, with preference given to the surgical technician program. The scholarship is renewable for spring and summer semesters upon demonstration of academic success.

The Heersink Wiregrass Pathway to Optometry Endowed Scholarship was established in 2023. The scholarship will be awarded for the length of the Associate in Science Degree program. Two (2) scholarships will pay up to 50% of tuition, fees, and/or books for two (2) full-time Wallace Community College students majoring in any pre-professional health program with a preference given to pre-optometry majors. Recipients will be awarded one (1) scholarship– renewable for the length of the program if basic criteria are met.
The HNB First Bank Scholarship was established in 2024. This scholarship will be used to support students from Headland High School, Abbeville High School, and Abbeville Christian Academy. A scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded in Fall semester for tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in Academic Transfer, Career Technical or a Health Sciences program. Scholarship is not renewable for an additional semester.
The Houston County Farmers Federation Scholarship was established in 2023. A scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded Fall and Spring semester for tuition, fees, and/ or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in an Academic program with an agriculture-related program of study. Student must be a resident of Houston County, Alabama. This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2009 by Mr. and Mrs. O. Lewis Humphrey, both former students of Wallace Community College, who express appreciation for the education they received at WCC. Currently, Mr. Humphrey serves on the Board of Directors of the Wallace Community College Foundation. This scholarship will provide $1,250 for tuition, fees, and/or books for fall term to a nursing student (either PN or ADN) who is a single parent and who has a 3.0 or better GPA. The criteria should be documented in the application packet. The scholarship will be renewable for the following spring term upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2019 by Mr. Joe Johnson. A scholarship will be awarded and pay up to $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a student attending the Wallace Campus in Dothan majoring in the Welding program. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) student from Dale, Henry or Houston County, Alabama, attending the Wallace Campus in Dothan. Recipient will hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate and be enrolled in the Practical Nursing (PN) Program. A scholarship of up to $2,250 to cover tuition, fees, and/or books will be awarded per academic school year – renewable for spring and summer semesters if basic criteria are met.
The Jean Jones Memorial Scholarship is named for Mrs. Jean Jones, a former Medical Laboratory Technology instructor at the College, who died in 1987 after a long illness. She was an accomplished medical professional and teacher who challenged and cherished her students. Her family, friends, colleagues, and former students established this scholarship in her memory. A scholarship of up to $750 for tuition and fees for fall semester will be awarded to a student admitted to a health-related field who meets the qualifications and requirements. The recipient should be a highly motivated person with a need for financial assistance and have a 3.0 GPA or better. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books. Applicant must be a female, WCC student who has successfully completed at least two semesters with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, and agree to register for at least 12 credit hours (or a course load consistent with your program of study). If there are no qualified applicants, assistance will not be awarded. This scholarship will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship will be awarded to a Respiratory Therapy Program (RPT) student in their last semester. Applicant must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and recommendation letters from Judy Harrell and Kim Welborn. Applicants with characteristics to be considered include honesty, excellent attendance and work ethic, strong clinical skills, ability to work well with others, accepts criticism and acts on it, strong communication skills, compassion, empathy, caring manner toward patients, families, and co-workers. Must be assertive and have the ability to apply clinical activity; acts without being asked; possess leadership abilities, willingness to do whatever needs to be done to get the job done. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship was established in 2019 by the Estate of Susan Phyllis Lindsey. A scholarship will be awarded and pay up to $1,250 for tuition, fees, and/or books for the fall semester. The scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship will pay up to $500 for the summer semester for tuition, fees, and/or books for a student majoring in academic transfer with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference given to an English major. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in any Allied Health or Nursing program, with a preference given to a Dale County student. Recipient will be awarded one (1) full scholarship, covering tuition, fees, and books, per academic school year – renewable for the spring and summer semesters, upon demonstration of academic success.
The Meadows Scholarship for Girls was established by Brook and Mary Beth Meadows in 2023. The scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in a(n) Academic, Health Science, or Career Technical program with a preference given to a female participant of Girls Inc. of Dothan. Recipient must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0, be enrolled as a full-time student, and include years of participation in Girls, Inc. of Dothan in the scholarship application. This scholarship is renewable for the Spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The A. A. Middleton Endowed Scholarship was established by Dr. and Mrs. James Chasteen in memory of Mrs. Chasteen’s father, Auston Middleton., and in honor of her mother, Alma Middleton. Mr. Middleton was in the poultry business, and he was the first elected chairman of the Houston County Commission. Both Mr. and Mrs. Middleton were leaders in the county and were particularly interested in biracial and health issues. Dr. Chasteen is a former community college president, and past-chair of the WCC Foundation. This $750 scholarship for tuition, fees, and/or books will be awarded to a student who demonstrates both financial need and academic merit. The scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 1988 in honor of former Dale County Sheriff Bryant Mixon. The scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition and fees for fall semester to a new or existing WCC student from Dale County who demonstrates financial need and a history of successful academic work. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship was established in 2011 by Dr. Imogene Mathison Mixson. Dr. Mixson served as an English instructor, Academic Dean, and Interim President of Wallace Community College. The scholarship will pay up to 75% (seventy-five percent) for tuition, fees, and/or books for fall semester to a new or existing WCC student majoring in an academic transfer or health sciences. The scholarship may be renewable for spring term upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2013 by Dr. Imogene Mathison Mixson in memory of her husband, David Whigham Mixson. The scholarship will pay up to 75% (seventy-five percent) for tuition, fees, and/or books for fall semester to a new or existing WCC student majoring in an academic transfer or health sciences. The scholarship may be renewable for spring term upon demonstration of academic success.
The Ashton Elizabeth Moss Memorial Scholarship was established in 2024. A scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded Fall and Spring semester for tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in nursing. This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship will pay up to $750 for one semester for tuition, fees, and/or books for a new or returning student. Applicant must demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Madeleine Nessi-Smith Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003 for students in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. This scholarship, worth $500, will pay for tuition, fees, and/or books to a WCC student in the PTA Program. The recipient must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and acceptance into the PTA Program with successful completion of at least one semester of PTA classes. Preference will be given to a female, single parent with past military experience. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The Owens Family Endowed Scholarship was established in 2021 to provide students an opportunity to continue their education. Two scholarships, each worth $750, will pay for tuition, fees, and/or books for new or existing WCC students majoring in academic transfer or health sciences. The scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship will pay up to $750 for one semester for tuition, fees, and/or books for a new or returning student. Applicant must demonstrate financial need. This scholarship in non-renewable.
The P.E.O. Chapter W Fund was established in 2019 by the Philanthropic Education Organization Sisterhood. The scholarship will pay up to $500 toward tuition and fees to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace campus student, with a preference given to a female student. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship was established by Larry and Janice Pitchford in memory of their daughter, Dawn Pitchford. The scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a Wallace Community College (WCC) student majoring in a health science program. The scholarship will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Elizabeth Mills Rane Scholarship was established in 2006 by James W. “Jimmy” Rane, CEO of Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., in honor of his mother. The scholarship fund will benefit students at Wallace Community College with preference given to students in nursing and allied health programs. The scholarship will pay up to $750 per semester for tuition, fees, and/or books. This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
Sponsored by the Dothan Altrusa Club, the Kate Register Nursing Scholarship is named for a founding member of the Club. This scholarship will pay up to $1,704 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a student who has completed at least one term in one of the WCC nursing programs. Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and must register for a load consistent with program of study. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The James C. Rhoades Engineering Endowed Scholarship was established in 2022 to provide students an opportunity to continue their education. This scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a Wallace Community College Wallace Campus student majoring in Mechanical Engineering, A.S., Electrical Engineering, A.S., or Engineering Graphics A.A.S. program(s) (in order of preference). This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Saulsberry/Asbury Memorial Scholarship was established in 2018 in memory of Willie Pank and Annie Jewel Saulsberry and Cradell Valerie Asbury by family and friends. This scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books each Fall semester to a Wallace Community College (WCC) student majoring in a general academic, health science, or career technical program. The applicant must have a 3.0 GPA, unmet financial need and demonstrates high ethical standards, responsible citizenship, volunteerism, and academic success. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The ServisFirst Bank Scholarship was established in 2012 to provide students assistance to continue their education. Two scholarships, each worth $1,000, will pay for tuition, fees, and/or books for new or existing WCC students majoring in academic transfer or health sciences. The scholarships are non-renewable.
The Stewardship Scholarship was established by Marc and Christy Hall in January 2020. A scholarship in the amount of $1,000 covering tuition, fees, and/or books will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in academic transfer, health science, or career technical program, with a preference given to a single parent. This scholarship will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Jim Stewart Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in July 2016 by Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Services in memory of Jim Stewart. Jim became the administrator of Extendicare in 1989 until his passing in 2004. He was a respected, capable administrator who inspired all those who worked with him. This scholarship will provide candidates an opportunity to become graduates in the nursing profession and will help advance healthcare in the Wiregrass. The scholarship will pay 75% of tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student in the Practical Nursing or Associate Degree Nursing program, with a preference given to an employee of Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Services in good standing, with required letters of recommendation, and working a minimum average of 24 hours a week. The scholarship will be awarded based on grade point average and unmet financial need. This scholarship is renewable for the length of the program upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and./or books for fall semester to a Wallace Community College (WCC) student attending the Wallace Campus, majoring in a Nursing program for the fall semester. Scholarships will be awarded based on a 3.0 grade point average and submission of a short essay describing why you desire to be a nurse and what role compassion and kindness play in the healthcare industry. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2023. This scholarship will benefit a student who has been involved in foster care as a child or parent. The 685 Scholarship is based on Psalm 68:5, where God is described as a Father of the fatherless. This gift reflects the thoughtfulness and generosity of Amy and Ryan Spry. Ryan and Amy Spry intend for the total scholarship amount of $1,370 to be awarded each year as a $685 scholarship. A scholarship in the amount of $685 will be awarded Fall and Spring semester for tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student in any program. The scholarship is renewable for an additional semester if the recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA and is enrolled as a full-time student.
The Leslie and Mary Ann Tolar Memorial Scholarship was established in 2022. A scholarship in the amount of $750 covering tuition, fees, and/or books will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in a Health Science program with emphasis in Oncology, Hospice, or Dialysis care and has a 3.0 or better GPA. This scholarship will be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2010 by Toyota of Dothan. The scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a new or existing student. The scholarship may be renewable for spring term upon demonstration of academic success.
The scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books for fall semester to a new or existing WCC student with preference given to a student from Houston County. The scholarship may be renewable for spring term upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2015 by Daniel and Melissa Mason in memory of Martha G. Turner, Mrs. Mason’s mother. This scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books for the summer semester to a student majoring in cosmetology. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The Lillian Vickers Scholarship – This scholarship was established in 2024 by Lillian Vickers. The scholarship will pay up to $1,000 for tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in a business-related program, with preference for a female student and/or for a banking/finance student. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2022 by the Estate of Jimmilyn Newton Walden. A scholarship will be awarded an pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books to a Wallace Community College Wallace Campus students majoring in Associate Degree Nursing or Practical Nursing. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success
This scholarship was established in 2022 by Keith Saulsberry. A scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded Fall semester for tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student majoring in General Academics, Health Science, or Career Technical program. The scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship was established in 2020 by the Walter Scott Foundation. This scholarship will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books for a Wallace Community College (WCC) Wallace Campus student enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing or Practical Nursing program. The scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Watson Family Scholarship is provided by the Watson Family. Two scholarships will be awarded to a student majoring in a Career/Technical Program. The scholarships will pay up to $1,000 for tuition, fees, and/or books for fall semester. The scholarships may be renewable upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship is given by the WCC Foundation Board to honor the financial commitment of faculty and staff to the Foundation. One scholarship up to $750 will be awarded each semester to a new or returning student. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The WCC Foundation awards ten (10) $1,500 scholarships (two consecutive semesters at $750/semester) for tuition, fees, and/or books to new students for fall semester. Recipient must be a new student or one not having attended WCC in three years. Students who have never attended college should submit ACT and/or SAT scores. This scholarship is renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
The Wallace Community College Foundation offers WCC Spirit of Community Scholarships each semester as a result of donations from annual fundraisers held in the community. These scholarships will pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books. This scholarship is non-renewable.
This scholarship is provided by the Wiregrass Electric Cooperative. A scholarship will be awarded and pay up to $750 for tuition, fees, and/or books and may be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success. Applicant must be a member in good standing of Wiregrass Electric Cooperative or a dependent of a member in good standing. Dependents of active Wiregrass Electric Cooperative employees and dependents of active WEC Trustees are not eligible unless there are no other qualified applicants. Applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in an academic transfer program or a career/technical field with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Scholarship will be awarded based on GPA, school recommendation, and financial need of the student. This scholarship may be renewable for spring semester upon demonstration of academic success.
This scholarship was established in 2016 by Felton E. and Jean P. Woodham. A scholarship will pay up to $1,250 for tuition, fees, and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded to a Wallace Community College (WCC) student on the Wallace Campus majoring in general academics, health sciences, or career technical programs, with a preference given to a special needs student. The scholarship is renewable for an additional semester upon demonstration of academic success.
